A must do in Jerusalem. I will be carrying memories of it forever. Unfortunately, due to the layout of the museum it can become very crowded.

The impact of what you will see at Yad Vashem is almost impossible to process. However, it is essential that you visit this site. We must never forget what has happened and never let it happen again.

When you start the museum, you want to experience everything, but you quickly realize that you need to pick and choose what you read and what you listen to, because there is just too much - too much to read, too much to listen to, too much to watch. But the museum does an excellent job of integrating history and... More

Visited here as part of a pilgrimage while a friend was running the Jerusalem marathon. Amazing place to remember a horrific incident in word history. How can humnas behave lie that to other.

Young children are not permitted in the main museum. Very moving and emotional. The Children's Memorial is so painful but beautiful. This is a must-see if you are going to Jerusalem

I have been to the holocaust museum in Washington DC and this one is similar but larger in scale and more meaningful since it is in Israel. Very moving. Plan on at least 2 hours and visit the children's museum close by.

Spent about 1/12 hours at Yad Vashem which has no entry fee. Allow more time as we were not even close to finishing the exhibits. There is a walking tour around the site that takes you to the Children's Memorial and several other worthwhile exhibits. Then there is the museum where you can spend many hours. Many people find this... More

Due to the tour we were on only had just under 2 hours. More time is needed a lot to read and take in. Give yourself time to see the children's memorial as said before very humbling.

Being Jewish, I've been exposed to Holocaust history all my life. Yad Vashem takes all the pieces and presents them in a way anyone can understand. The backstory of what led to it, the events themselves, and the results since as they continue to unfold.

We came with our toddler daughter. we knew that we couldn't take her in but we took turns, 2 hours each, while the other one spend time with her in the garden (+we timed it over her nap). The memorial is incredibly well done. I'm from Germany, so I've seen a lot of exhibitions and museums about the holocaust but... More
