Nice architecture with a magnificent sound

Has a great light music concert, a beautiful place in the middle of the city. If you have the time and there is an evening performance - it is woth a shot.

In the midst of the wave of terrorism we are suffering from in Israel, we were thrillled to be at the YMCA. The building is magnificent, the restaurant lovely and the atmosphere truly one of mutual understanding and tolerance, Jews and Arabs sitting together, working together and showing the world how it could actually happen.

For a delicious, colorful and economical lunch in exquisite surroundings look no further than the charming terrace restaurant at the Jerusalem YMCA. It's located directly across the street from internationally renowned King David Hotel where you can stroll the long corridor enjoying the autographs of the rich and famous tiled into the floor (before or after your meal at the... I passed by a couple of times and marveled at the beauty of the architecture. Surely, it is the nicest YMCA in the world. I did not go inside.

This is a historic building and part of the landscape of Jerusalem. If you have time, you should take the elevator (small fee) to the top for some outstanding views and great photo ops.

As part of the Israel Festival, I attended a performance of the jazz ensemble Niogi at the Jerusalem YMCA my first Saturday in town. The show was amazing on its own, but the venue did not hurt. Located conveniently next to many a hotel, it was well within walking distance of my own Jerusalem home. The interior was beautiful and... More

Lovely place to stay clean tidy enjoy the surroundings ... Room had a bath but shower was broken. Breakfast was disappointing staff appear to be volunteers and don't really help your breakfast experience.

The building is beautiful. Gorgeous stained glass windows. Quaint little restaurant outside with surprisingly good food for reasonable prices. The hotel itself was impeccably clean. This is nothing like any YMCA I have ever seen. This was an easy walk from the Dan Panorama and across from the King David hotel.

We joined the YMCA when we moved to Jerusalem in May after reviewing the alternatives in Jerusalem. The other gyms had terrible hours, with Shabbat closures etc. The only place that is airconditioned in the whole building is the aerobic room and the weight room. The swimming pool hours this summer are very restricted with summer camp and women only. However... More
