Do not forget to bring water shoes if you are planning to go. We had fun exploring the tunnel. It was amazing how they built it. It was worth it in my opinion!

I am 61 and asthmatic. I had no problem at all in the tunnel and certainly didn't find it strenuous.the steps weren't bad at all.
