You'll know you're in the Christian Quarters because the gift shops will showcase Christian icons, many of them made from olive wood by Palestinians in Bethlehem. It's always difficult to know if you're getting the "real thing" anywhere you go in Jerusalem, but if you go to Bethlehem you can actually see people making these icons out of wood. Most... More

This area is accessible when completing the Via Dolorosa and is a beautiful section of Jerusalem. You will enjoy walking the streets in this area.

I highly recommend your visiting Zak's Antiquities, near the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, for.antiquity purchases from a licensed dealer in the Old City of Jerusalem. He is honest, speaks excellent English, and his prices are reasonable.

As I've noted in my other reviews this is one of four quarters in the Old City. This one contains the Church of Holy Sepulcher which is a must see for any Christian or anyone else for that matter. Great area to walk around in.

Every quarter has it's own feel and the Christian quarter contains the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, small shops and cafes. For Christian visitors, I recommend walking the Via Dolorosa and taking time to soak in the fact that you are walking where Jesus once walked.

This is one of the quarters and gives the visitor an understanding of the cultural difference in the special place. Different again from the other quarters. It adds to the cities richness.

I agree with user catlover333. The Roman glass jewelry in this shop is rare and authentic. I have bought quite a few of these pieces and they are really beautiful pieces and not like the ground composite items that other shops sell at much lower cost. They are also expensive - I spent over $2000 dollars on my small collection.... More

Beautiful, historical part of Jerusalem, one of four old Quarters of the walled city, where Via Dolorosa reaches the Church of Holy Sepulcher at Golgotha! This incredible area containing the places important for Christianity and loaded with history will likely charge you with religious emotions. The area is adorned by beautiful churches and monasteries. Numerous souvenir stores, nice cafes invite... More

If you are a tourists, sure you will visit this part of the Old City. We liked here, with many souvenir shops owned by russians and good food on some restaurants. Is not overcrowed like in muslim part of the City.
