Dizengoff Street is great to walk down, even better in the evening. Even up to the latest hours, you will find plenty of Eatery's, shops, Supermarkets, bars & all sorts of friendly people. The street is always busy and is very clean. in the 10 days we were there, we found no rude or aggressive people, no drunks or people hassling you for anything. We felt very safe, even around 1am.

Central street with a lot of cafes bars and shops , good choice for all times of a day. You can enjoy your breakfast and coffee in the morning, and later in the evenings the bars are full of people that enjoy their drink. It leeds to a beautiful square and in a shopping centre

A street with several cafes, bars and eateries (most also have outdoor seating, with heating, partly covered, interrupted by a pretty square that is lined with more entertainment venues. Open till around midnight. Some of these place have good happy hour prices, not just for drinks but also for food. Definitely one of the most pleasant roads in Tel Aviv. Also some exchange shops and places to buy SIM-cards

Dizengoff is a long street which runs most of the way through Tel Aviv, which makes it a great place to shop and walk. There are all kinds of stores and cafes and restaurants along the way, at the south end is Dizengoff Centre Mall, and at the north end is Nemal Tel Aviv (the old port which was gentrified and turned into a swanky place to hang out). The middle stretch of Dizengoff used to have an overhead plaza with a beautiful fountain that fell into disrepair, an underpass which saw lots of bad stuff occur, and constant noisy traffic. The traffic is still constant and noisy, but the removal of the plaza has turned this part of Dizengoff into a huge construction site/dust bowl. It doesn't stop you from walking, just like any other construction site, it will require you to walk around the edges accordingly. The nice waffle shop is gone, as well as a few other little neat places. If you're a regular visitor and counting upon a store being there, check on line before you commit to a trip down memory lane, like that neat CD store I went to in the middle of the night 6 years ago which wasn't there this time... go figure! :-) Don't want to walk? That's okay, lots of buses along the way.

Back in the late 50's and all through the 60's and 70's Dizengoff Street was the number one street in Tel Aviv for shopping, pavement coffee houses were one could sit and watch the world goes by while having coffee and cake A few restaurants were frequented by artists from the arts and entertainment world of the day.

Over the years out of town and town centre shopping centres have been bilt which drew the crowed away from Disingoff Street.

At present the street, look to me a bit neglected and unclean.

I feel that one would be better of spending time on the Promenade with nicer views and better array of coffee shops and restaurants.

A friendly advice: explore the good part of Dizengoff, i.e. its Northern section (from Ben Gurion boulevard towards Tel Aviv Port area and old exhibition grounds). Take a walk early in the evening, do some window shopping (or real shopping), then find yourself a table in some cafe and watch the crowd. If you don't like what you see you change the scene in a minute, relocating yourself to Ben Yehuda or Ibn Gvirol streets. There are other breakaway options like the beach and the Promenade.

not much to get excited about - its a little run down in places (as are some other parts of Tel Aviv away from the seafront). Much preferred Neve Tzedek and Old Jaffa and Carmel Market areas
