Nothing special or worthwhile to justify the time and expense. You see them everywhere, specially in the streets of NYC. There are far more interesting places to explore in Jerusalem.

My friend and I visited here and even though both of us have lived in Israel, neither of us had been here - much to our shame. We enjoyed the layout of the museum, there is an old wing and a new one and the old had more to it for my interest. However, there was much to be looked... More

This museum is massive. We were fortunate to catch the Bob Dylan exhibit. Very interesting. Also, the history of synagogues all over the world. The university is located in a wonderful area, great views and worth the trip out from the inner city.

I've been before but wanted to go back on this trip. As others note this is a bit dated. Still, it presents a moving and interesting history of the Jewish people in exile and their struggle to get back to their ancestral homeland. I've heard the museum is closing soon for a renovation and I will be curious to see... More

This museum had been getting dated, but the new wing is nothing short of spectacular. It has the famous synagogue models from the original museum, plus wonderful multimedia and innovative special exhibits. The interactive exhibit for children (Hebrew and English) is absolutely not to be missed if you have a child with you; there is a 90-minute limit for this... More

Lovely exhibitions at the new wing of the museum (didn't visit other parts this visit). The Jewish heroes interactive exhibition for kids (6-12 yrs old) was fascinating and even my hectic 8 yrs old enjoyed it a lot. The synagogue exhibition was also very interesting (again, even for that 8 yrs old boy). Loved it.

This museum really tells the story of the Jewish people in the Diaspora. The models of synagogues from around the world, past and present, is wonderful.

I first visited here shortly after it opened and have visited a few times. This is my first time in a decade. I brought people with me - I had raved about the museum. We were all so disappointed. The main exhibit is just old and boring. It is so very dated. Nothing positive to say. Only one of the... More
