Great new places opening here on a regular basis. Some fantastic food with great choice. Bit of an issue to find a parking spot but well worth your time.

Nice shops, ice cream places, nice restaurants, fantastic atmosphere. Good shisha lounges and cafés. Mostly young crowd. For the more authentic arabic feeling Down Town is preferable :)

If you're looking for somewhere to hang out in Amman, rainbow street is highly recommended. But, I don't think it's good if you go with baby like us. There is everything like many walking streets in some cities/countries; shops, restaurants, cafe, etc.

Eateries tend to open after midday. Some shops are open in the morning.

On Friday they usually have Souk Jara and local artist and bands playing for free after 7. I'm not so sure the market has opened for the season. I will try to check and get back to you. It's best if open to park in the back... More

Ron B, search for Rajeen Resturant & Cafe's at google maps. It's on that street. Near by, there's the Books@cafe a really nice restaurant! I defintely recommend it!
