We came here since we thought it was the public beach but it turns out it is not.
Facilities are not that great (except maybe the pools). Service is really poor, they do not accept card payment so when we were walking away since we didn't have cash at the moment, they offered to take us to the souvenir shop and we were able to pay there.
Changing rooms are very poor; showers only have cold water so on a cold day you are in trouble to take the salt off your body. We did not have lunch here (15JD) since we did not feel comfortable with the whole experience.

Entrance fee is 20JD and does not include mud which you will need to pay 3JD extra per person.

If you can, upgrade a bit and go to one of the resorts.

This was our worst experience in Jordan. 20 Jod to enter then got cheated with my change when i returned the towels later . Attendant gave me change in euro which i didnt check until later.
Very disappointed with this dishonesty. Fortunately this was the only time we experienced this. Jordanians are good honest people but this fellow was a bad one. He should be sacked. He was working at the towel counter last Friday 14th February at 3.30pm

So bad place, don’t go there!!! Entrance fee is 20 jd.. but no facilities. Staff are unfriendly. Changing room was very dirty even there was very little people. Cleaner sat on chair and kept only hand paper on the table. In toilets no soaps and paper. Everything is old and dirty. Pools were so dirty and cold that you can not think swimming. You need pay extra for lock key. Food to pricey and average.. not good, like usually Jordanian food is. No tasty fish and dry chicken. No soup. Beach side was dirty! If they take entrance fee 20, they should even keep places clean!

We had this facility in our program for a swim in the Dead Sea. The beach area was not very clean. There weren't any areas to sit and enjoy the view and maybe eat something simple instead of eating a very low prıfile tasteless food.Look for another place .

Cheap place for a quick dip in the dead sea. Crowded. Noisy. Not very clean. Lunch buffet not cheap, the food quality not great. Don‘t go on a weekend. It will be very crowded.

Our visit to the Dead Sea via the Amman Tourist Beach was arranged through our tour organiser. Floating and bobbing about in the Dead Sea is an amazing experience, we spent around 45 - 60 minutes doing this as it was warmer in than out. Although we achieved what we wanted, I would only recommend this place if you are on a budget. Avoid paying for the meal and take your own towel. The showers are not great (cool). If you want a more luxurious experience and can afford to spend more then I would go elsewhere.

Also one of those things you would like to do once in your lifetime: floating in the dead sea while reading a book. Amman beach is probably the cheapest option (besides public beaches) to experience the dead sea. Entrance fee is 20 JOD per person, parking is free and they have towels you can rent for 5 JOD (incl 3,5 JOD deposit). Lockers, changing rooms and showers are also available besides a nice swimming pool area. The showers are very basic but at least you can rinse of the salt. There is also a shop where you can buy sun protection if needed unexpectedly in January (18°C) with full sun. And you will never forget the experience to be in dead sea.

We came here with a tour group and everything was good enough. Food was basic, but facilities were pretty clean and we didn't have any real complaints. This was our second time visiting the Dead Sea (as we visited once in Israel) and it was a terrific experience yet again. The buoyancy is just crazy and it's an amazing experience that you simple have to try at least once. The pool was nice to be able to relax in for a bit after our float in the sea as well. Overall as I mentioned we had no real complaints and everything here was perfectly adequate.

This is probably the cheapest way to approach the Dead Sea. The place is organized with toilets, showers, changing cabins, a pool, a restaurant etc., so if you are not going for luxury it is a good way to try the unique experience of swimming -floating- in the Dead Sea and covering yourself with black mud.

Visited Amman beach on our travels through Jordan. Was very wary after reading all the negative reviews. I think what you need to remember what the Dead Sea is, it's not tidal, not even a sea. The shore line along the Dead sea is quite steep in places and there is limited access down to the waterfront along the length of the shore line. When we visited the changing rooms were very clean and in fact in both the male and female changing rooms there were cleaners constantly cleaning the showers and the floors. When they are dirty that is caused by people not thinking about cleaning their shoes or showering before coming off the beach and dragging all the dirt and sand into them. Would you do it at home, no, so why do it here Enjoyed a lovely float in the sea, not somewhere you want to spend hours at as it really wouldnt ve good for you spending excessive amount of time in the water. We had lunch which was an open buffet. Food was good and plentiful although limited choice. Tables were cleared very quickly. This is not a five star resort but it served the purpose for us to have a float in the Dead sea.
