On a day with good weather, it would be an ideal visit for spiritual uplifting. I suggest, arrange to travel by a modern air-conditioned coach, so you won't be tired and the journey will be comfortable consequently enabling you to enjoy and reflect, meditate or pray full heartedly when you reach the site.

It is advisable to go there well prepared like you prepare yourself for every significant event of your life. And first of all is your physical fitness. Carry sufficient water and fruits. Its around 3 KM from makkah. Cave (Ghar-e-Hira) is located on Jabal Al-Noor mountain. It takes around 45 minutes to reach on top.

I made this journey while on my Ummrah 2015 visit. It's a must do. I made a mistake in not going straight after fajar salah. I went with my wife, sister and brother in law after asar prayer. The journey to the top of the mountain is very hectic. One should bring fruits and drinks. And hira cave is so small and it's only for one person.

The Cave of Hira is located on top of Jabal Al-Nour about 3 km from Mecca. It is the location believed where Prophet Mohammed received his first revelation from god by the angel Jebril/ Gabriel. Little Far from the Holy Mosque, Not difficult to climb but its better if you leave at fajar! In hot days its little bit tiring.

Absoluetly, its a lot of Noor still there, just try to see or feel that Noor, when you go there. Just think yourself Infront of Allah.

This place marshallah I would recommend you to go here in the morning just after Fajar as its very high up And if you get up it during the mid morning or afternoon you will be boiling it gets so hot and also it can take forever getting uptheres its a very long way up it could take 5 hours... More
