After the superb national museum in Bahrain is this excellent museum. The Saudis have created a thorouly professional and world-class presentation. The reconstructions of historical sites like Madain Salih are particularly good. Look for the cases with examples of non-orthodox Islamic texts. Make sure to watch the films.

I visited the museum twice. The displays are very well designed, it covers the history up to current days. It is spacious, and every time I was there it was quiet. Staff is very friendly and helpful. It is very educational for someone not from the country or the region.

Definitely worth a visit. Quite big. As a museum concept quite outdated but in any case worth to see. There are not so many attraction of this kind in Saudi Arabia unfortunately. In the kingdom, it goes without saying, history and science happily mux with religion, nonetheless, with a critical eye, the museum is worth a visit.

It wasn't the first visit, has a lot of sections development of Arabian peninsula through natural, huminataion, political and religious. The Islamic gallery is most nice one It's not so hestorical for people who are really interested and looking for deep hestorical data Nearby there's another museum for old cars of the king Abdulaziz ( the founder of saudi )

Very pleasant, open and spacious. This was our second visit, just as enjoyable as the first. Tells the history of the Arabian peninsula from formation to present day. Captions are in both Arabic and English.
