I enjoyed learning a bit about Saudi history. The museum has historic clothes, weapons, art, artifacts surrounding serving food. Unfortunately we got there shortly before prayers so we were a bit rushed.

During saturday, this is the only "touristic" place in the area opened during the morning to single men. it has some facts and historic pieces that might be interesting for people looking to get some insight of modern Saudi history. recommended

It is simple, uncluttered and maybe even stark in places but interesting just the same plus, it is free and usually not crowded. Access to the upper level would greatly... More

The Fort in the heart of Riyadh is a inseparable part of modern day Saudi Arabia, as its from here that the start of modern Saudi Arabia can be described when the King initiated the unification of the country. A mud fort with an impregnable heart! a Must visit when in Riyadh!

This is a nice place to visit, and sort of fits in nicely with what is experienced at the National Museum.
