About
Welcome to the Royal Camel Farm, Bahrain. This farm is open every day from sunrise to sunset, with free entry and free parking on-site as well as washroom facilities. Please note that the camels with chains are males, and the reason for using the chains is to prevent them from otherwise killing each other to mate with the females. They are thus spaced equally apart so that other male camels are outside their bite reach. Female camels can be seen inside the pens where they are free to roam.

I agree with the previous reviewer. I was quite upset to see how the camels were kept and a few appeared to be quite distressed.

This was very local to where we were staying so friends took us on the way elsewhere. There were plenty of camels but mainly with front legs chained and then chained to the spot. We were in and out in 10 minutes - all a bit sad really.

Family vacation with the camels. Great photo opportunity. Hands on and up close experience. Some camels are chained up, which is a bummer. Was able to hand feed the camels. Great outdoor experience. Admission is free. Highly recommend to all visitors.

It was basically a bunch of camels in a parking lot. You could pet them and take pictures. It would probably be a good place to take kids, though it is pretty far from the city.

The man at the gate said the farm has been closed to the public since covid first hit and that he hasn’t been told when or if they will reopen.

Part of the half day tour of the south of Bahrain. When visiting this place it looks like you go back in time! Everything is still like it was in the past and that's why it makes a visit so memorable....when today meets the past!

I went to the Royal Camel Farm in February and spent about 30 minutes walking around and checking out the camels. The camels were super friendly and walked right up to me. I did not notice a smell, like others have mentioned, and it was very clean! They have one shaded area with two benches and a small table, next time I will bring a snack and hang out! I had a great time and I will definitely be coming back.

This was part of a cruise ship tour stop. Great place a get a picture with a camel but the stop was only about 20 minutes so was quite quick. Camels seemed to be friendly and well cared for.
