Great place to visit, but sadly visiting hours is bad for photography as during the golden hours, you cannot enter into the fort. A walkway around is however still gives great views. The lighting at night make for very dramatic photos.

Bahrain port well worth a visit. It would cost you 3-4 donars from Manama by taxi. You do not have to pay any entrance fee. The excavations held in XX century showed that Bahrain island is inhabited for at least 4.000 years.

Good place for a walk with kids. Well maintained and clean. The beach near by was not as good as expected.

This was a ruin when we last visited 30 years ago. It has now been restored and looks very imposing.
