Need a drink after a hard day off walking ruins? This is the place! We stopped off in the Dragonfly for a cocktail and it certainly hit the spot! But there are many other bars and a few restaurants to choose from, just don't get here too early! The party starts around 8pm.

I have always loved visiting Gemmayzeh street is it is very funky and full of interesting shops, cafes, bookshops, barbers and restaurants. A long line of bars, restaurants, pubs and live music venues stretching all the way from one corner of the Martyrs Square up onto Mar Mkhail street, Gemmayzeh incarnates in many aspects the identity of nightlife in Beirut. The perfect invitation to bar-hopping with friends and people-watching.

Busy bar and restaurant area near the Beirut Souks which really comes alive after dark. By walking right to the end it will bring you to another bar area called Mar Michal

Even when power is out lights burst from all diners and night clubs around. Gemmayzeh is a lovely place to visit at night, but it needs organization like everything else in Beirut. It is... More
