Very interesting place and the night life down there is awesome, I think you can't tell you visit Beirut unless you went to Hamra street

Hamra is just disappointing. Overrated too western district with no authenticity and originality to it. It just tries to be like western countries, and in the end the bars and cafés aren't as good as western ones, and also you can't enjoy trying something Lebanese...More

A very busy street in the heart of the city , it has a long history , was the main attraction of Beirut before the 1980's , hotels , cafes , shopping etc... Not anymore but it's still a good shopping street with a one...More

Interesting street with many places to eat, drink and shop. Also a good place if you need a money changer. Side streets of Hamra also provide a good supply of retail outlets

Waking in Hamra Street makes you feel in the 70's the good old vintage époque when the street was of the trendiest area in Beirut. Lot of food and beverage options and nice old building. I'll recommend you walk from Downtown to Hamra to enjoy...More

This is a very lively part of Beirut. You can find some excellent cheap eateries here as well as good shopping. Also in different parts this is where to go out at night. In summer, it's super hot, so taxis to and from are recommended
