About a 3 km stroll. The harbour on one side, the other has Muttrah Souk, manicured gardens, jagged hills topped with fortlets and a giant incense burner. Best time to go is after 19:00. The lights really create an amazing atmosphere. Combine with a visit...More

Borders the Souk and the working port. There is a spectacular castle near the end. Look out for the crabs & birds at the waters edge.

You have the sea/port on the right hand side if you walk into town, with the city/mountains on the left hand side. Nice grass and flowers. Boris's Bicycles (from London) have arrived in Muscat and can be used if so required. Good to walk.

Definitely worth a few visits at least. Very relaxing and beautiful place to relax in. Lots of lovely souk shopping to be done and delicious fruit juice and food. Should def go for long walks or a jog if you can.

Its a worthwhile and pleasant stroll by Muttrah's attractive low-rise seafront (and four lanes of traffic, unfortunately). The light on the city and mountains is better in the late afternoon than in the morning, and its a bit livelier too.

The corniche provides a lovely place to walk with the ocean on one side and the mountains surrounding you. There are places to stop and sit, and plenty flowers to beautify the spot further. It's very clean and it's nice to view the boats along...More

The Walk along Muttrah Corniche and visit to the Muttrah Souq were amongst my favourite attractions in Muscat. You can see the mountains change colour as the sun sets over the sea and the city lights up in the evening. Although the place is bustling...More

We just enjoyed the walk from the Souq as for as long as we had time. Enjoyed the waterfront. Make sure to take note of the size of the Sultan's yacht!

The Corniche is a nice walkway which runs for about three kilometers along the harbour from the Muttrah Souk to the Palace. You can find pristine gardens and fountains along this stretch. At the northern end of the Cornish there is a fish market and...More

Hi S, the walk is about 3 kms through what was the container port until last year. Not pretty. Seems to me there are shuttle buses all the time from the cruise ships down onto the Corniche. Drop off point is where the old... More
