I love, love this market place. It felt like I was in an Aladdin set. Nice place to have an afternoon walk. Very cultural, too. Best place to buy some memorabilias plus they sell the best dates I have tried so far!

Loved the atmosphere here. Kids had a wonderful time with food & ethnic items stalls, animal displays and souvenirs. The place has wonderful restaurant and cafes, from all kinds of cuisines and price ranges.

This is a great place to experience a traditional market. There's lots of very varied merchandise: textiles, spices, food, gold, chandeliers, etc. The place is very picturesque and it is great for photography.

Worth a visit. Sellers quite restrained and happy to let you browse without the hard sell. Lots of locally significant products but also lots of pashmere scarves, dusty brass jugs, scared would-be pets, mother of pearl, hippy dope smokers, etc. But above all this it's a quaint must see place with very friendly vendors. Do it!

A nice big souq and easy to get to, walking distance from the corniche and the museum of islamic art. Must negotiate the price on everything and you will find a good bargain

The family and I decided to visit the Souq as we had not been there since the revamp a year or so ago. We found it a pleasant experience and my 4yr old loved all the little shops. Arrival: The new underground car park is excellent- you used to have to fight to get a parking above ground but now... More

The Souq is probably the only "must do" thing on a trip to Doha. It's a relatively modern site, but made to look and feel very much like it has been here for centuries. Hundreds of shops selling everything from spices, sweets, silks, clothes, souvenirs, perfumes, and even pets like birds and cats etc. Take a few hours to wander... More
