Following a desert rainstorm it was a beautifull experience as all the desert dust was washed off and all was clear in the late afternoon. Although seating was problamatic on the wet lawns it was still a good experience with the fading sun light and the city lights iluminating the skyline.

I recently strolled the corniche in Doha which is just across from Souq Waqif. It is easily accessible by an underground causeway from the Souq. It is also great for taking photos of the city. There are also many boats along the Corniche where you can take a leisurely local style cruise.

This 11 KM stretch of pearl shaped corniche is an everyday feature in the lives of Qatari locals and expats alike. A beautiful walkway lined with trees and green lawns on one side and the blue sea on the other dotted with local wooden fishing boats known as dhow. You can get a thirty minute ride on these boats for... More

Nice and safe place to walk especially in the morning. There are people who are biking though its prohibited and traffic are always bad on the main road which makes it hard for the people who doesnt have car to find a taxi. Otherwise the place is ideal for families.

One of the best place in Doha. Many people will walk through this area in the morning and night and will breathe fresh air as sea is next to the Corniche. End of the Corniche, you will see beautiful Sheraton hotel of Doha. Very good place to visit if you are in Doha and to enjoy fresh air.

All you see is construction site, no scenery, no nothing, no restaurant, and very dusty, very windy and very hot. Very dirty too, full of rubbish on the ground If thats what you like? go ahead!

A nice walk between the Museum of Islamic Art and the Souq Wasif with nice views of the city and the bay. The gardens are well maintained and you can have a close look at the dhow boats whose pilots would love to take you out on the bay for a ride. Visit the Pearl statue commemorating the Pearl diving... Doha isn't a city designed for walking, with the notable exception of the Corniche - here you can stretch your legs, enjoy the beautiful skyline (especially as dusk falls and the lights come on) and feel a cool sea breeze on your face. It's a good way to spend some time in the afternoon and evening.
