This is a very impressive and grand mosque. It is not fanciful, simply solid architecture. Not extravagant, just grand. Visitors should avoid certain times and they are strict about dress code for women. It is worth visiting. There are few grand mosques in Doha and...More

Not as I was expecting, still very large and nice, but nothing waw too. It is very far from anything by walk, and finding a taxi afterward is hard, if you are in Doha just for 1 day like I was, I would say it...More

Our family visited the Mosque. The place was almost empty (Sunday afternoon). Men and women were instructed to different sections of the Mosque and my wife used hijab for the first time of her life to get in. The youngest daughter, 8-year-old, was not allowed...More

If I had one word to describe the State Grand Mosque (Abdul Wahab Mosque), it would be "Remarkable". I have been to this mosque many times, but every time it feels the same as I felt the first time. It's beautiful architecture is simply mesmerizing....More

This mosque definitely competes with the Blue Mosque in Istanbul (Turkey) with respect to size and architecture. At night its illumination is spectacular. The comments in tourist guides about its beauty etc. are correct and certainly noy exaggerated.

This won't knock your socks off like the Blue Mosque or the one in Abu Dhabi but it is a nice experience and it is always fun to put on an abaya for a bit (which they provide) as well as head covering. The visit...More

A nice mosque. The mosque has a english speaking guide who walks you around and answers your questions. As a lady make sure to go covered. Not all parts of the mosque are finished.

An absolute highlight of Doha. The architecture is simple but very elegant. The sheer size of the interior marble ablution facilities and magnificent prayer room are stunning, with nine huge beautifully-carved wooden doors. The spiritual power is immense.

Definitely a place to visit when in Doha. Stunning architecture and a beautiful interior make this well worth a visit. Don't go on Fridays , Muslims only.

Go to the Islamic Cultural Centre, just off the Souq Wakif on the Corniche opposite the Museum of Islamic Art. You can't miss the building - it's funnel shaped with a staircase running up the outside. If you ask there, they... More

Everyone was very polite and accomodating and yes women are welcome but must enter from the women's entrance and must wear the appropriate clothing that is supplied. Lovely.
