The Ralli Museum has a small collection of Dali sculptures, very nicely explained which helps understand Dali, at least a very little bit. The rest of the museum has nice and interesting paintings and sculptures, and when we visited, a very unique sculpture display in the courtyard and various artists. No entrance fee, worth an hour or so.

Was pleasantly surprised that Ralli Museum is not a commercial place at all. There are no either souvenir shops or coffee shops inside... Just a museum where you can enjoy a few art pieces of Salvador Dali and other famous artists as well as different sculptures that look as they can become alive any second. There is no entrance fee... If you are really an art fan these tours are for you. It is a pretty setting but not particularly outstanding as far as world-wide resorts go. The beaches are nothing special and not many sandy ones are available. Shopping for tourists was very limited and difficult to find. The most interesting site was the 5 fingers sculpted to stand... This was part of a package tour. The museum had some very nice, different pieces (both paintings and sculpture), and was a pleasant way to spend an hour. It is much more than just Dali works, which are a very minor part of the collection (just as well, in my view)

While included in the tour we were on, I was blown away by the amazing collection that this family put together. In addition to Dali and other well-known contemporary artists, the collection of Latin American painters, plus the magnificent sculpture garden, made the visit a WOW.

This is a great rainy day adventure. It took me into another dimension and my mind was bent afterwards, something like one of Dali's melting clocks. Outside the museum are plants and trees in a park-like setting with wide streets and very few cars.

This museum is in a great neighborhood, and a joy to experience. Small, manageable, truly interesting permanent collection....with a wee bit o whimsy. Worth a visit for sure!

Lovely but you should go with lots of time bc it's pretty big. The best art museum in Uruguay. Great artists are exhibited
