This beautiful spot has become terrible with traffic and tourists. The great part is that you can just travel 20 kilometers north to beautiful beaches and great food

If you already saw the sunset at Casapueblo, this is the place for you to see another one. There are some bars and restaurants but quite pricey. Amazing place for a walk, enjoying the fantastic views of the harbours and ships. Maybe you can spot...More

If you want to cook, this is the place to get fresh fish, specially Merlusa and Brotola - two delicate tasting white fishes.

Kinda neat to see. Lots of condos and luxury buildings. This is obi where the rich go to mingle in Uruguay. Beaches were decent, but we were disappointed in the hand sculpture - a big tourist trap.

Nice place for walking, there is a fish market with fresh food and good prices, if you are Lucky can meet with some of the sea Wolves standing by the fisherman waiting for some food, they are used to people but keep a safe distance.

The harbor is pretty but there isn't much to do there but take a boat or eat at an expensive restaurant. I read that there are sea lions in the harbor but we didn't see any when we there.

All of the cruise ships anchor out, as there is no dock large enough for them. It is easy to get to a rental agency. We used Multicar. They have an office right in Punta.
