Nice beach sculpture, symbolizes Punta del Este and Playa Brava

Nice monument dedicated to warn people that they are entering Playa Brava, which requires caution as the waves and current is much stronger than its calmer cousin, Playa Mansa.

Located at the 01 stop of the Playa Brava in Punta del Este. The sculpture of the fingers, work of the Chilean artist Mario Irrazpabal attracts many tourists, to take a photo with exclusivity should wake up very early.

Not much to it, a cool sculpture in the beach. Interesting for a stop by. The beach around it is nice.

It is a somewhat original structure, looks like a hand of someone asking for help. It is close to downtown and you can spend 5-10 minutes and keep on walking...

We were there during a quiet time of year which I am grateful for. I thought we could take some nice photographs. I did not anticipate that vendors would be set up right by the hand so there were no clean shots. So instead we saw the hand, snapped a few pictures and we left. Probably the shortest time we... I believe that the original colour of the fingers must have been different. So may people around that the sculpture can be hard to see.

And by early I mean before 9 AM. There is a wooden walkway up to the fingers. A bit uphill so if you have a stroller or wheelchair could be a bit difficult but it's possible to take a picture Close to the fingers. Bring a selfie stick.

It is nice to get a picture taken there as a souvenir but nothing too special about it. I would rather spend times in other spots.

Nothing special about the fingers but it was a good landmark when we were wandering around Punta del Este. The beach was beautiful!
