Punta del Este Shore Excursion: Private Sightseeing Tour of Punta del Este

19 reviews
When your ship pulls into port at Punta del Este, spend half a day on a private shore excursion of the coastal resort town in southern Uruguay. Marvel at ocean views from Punta Ballena (Whale Point) before your guide drives you through sophisticated downtown neighborhoods. See the sailboats of unspoiled Playa Brava, a popular beach featuring whimsical sculptures, and stroll along Gorlero Avenue and Artigas Square to browse local shops during a bit of free time. Round-trip port transport by private vehicle is included.

Mmm no me gusta mucho este shopping! Los locales no son buenos, siempre está lleno de gente, no es tan grande. Mmm I don’t like so much this shopping mall! The stores are not good, it is always crowded and it is not that big.

Given the fact that this is the only shopping mall they have in Punta del Este, it could be much better. There is not much to buy as the stores aren’t great. Not worth the visit.

There are few things to do in Punta de Este except eat, see the giant hand emerging from the sand on Brava Beach, go to the beach and go to Punta Shopping. There is a some what Walmart on one side (more expensive) and a Casino on the other end. On the bottom floor of three floor is the food court (if that is what you want to call it) also very expensive but it does have a couple of comforts from home - a McDonalds and a Subway. But if you are looking for Dr. Pepper or Iced tea, you will not find it anywhere around. They put pig and eggs on most everything - so beware - look for the word Jamon (pork). There is no Mexican food as the locals do not like any kind of spicy food. Be prepared to spend a pretty penny on any food you buy, whether in the grocery stores or eating out.

Not very inviting place for a mall....... basically you will find all of the products you find at other places . Tienda Inglesa ( supermarket), is worthwhile going to. Loooooooots of food and all kinds of products available.

If you live or visit Punta Del este , it's a good place to shop , especially Tienda Inglesa , which is the large Supermarkt on the ground level ! It was just sold and the new owners and managers are not as professional and caring for the wishes of the customers , but it's still s good place to shop for your daily needs if it's closer to were you live than the other large Supermarkt Devoto ! The rest of the Mall has diverse groupings of shops especially shoes , sunglasses , clothes and gadgets ... the clothing stores are not up to date and they carry mostly very small sizes for women and the look is very old fashion ... for Men , children and for joggers you have enough to choose from with their sportswear stores . The various food shops and little restaurants that pop up every season except for mc Donald's are not up to standard ... the movie theater is great and has s variety of movies in different languages , most very current !
