As both an archaeologist and museum professional, I have visited a lot of small/large, local/national museums around the world and this is simply one of the worst I have been to. The gold portion on the lower floor is the worst. There is no label...More

Loved this little museum on Calle Jaen, not just for its small collections of gold and silver, but they have a small room with amazing ceramics, some so unbelievably fine and delicate.

As the title, this was the best museum of the 4 you buy a collective ticket for. I really do wish you could just buy a ticket for this one alone. It's a shame you can't take photographs, if anything because there is no English...More

I like museums and always spend time in them in every city I visit. These 4 museums (one ticket 20BOB) are disappointing on the whole. Metals, maps, house Murillo, panoramas y cholitas Poor curation, limited information displayed - next to nothing in English (which is...More

Very good to see original Inca gold jewellery and decorations. I understand why, but it's a pity that no photography is allowed. Spend an interesting and educational hour.

Awesome to see! The bowl has Cuneiform writing about local lore, yet no written actual Indian language has ever been found, only symbols.. The Phoenicians? They were master sailors.

We have never before been aware on how fragile Inca Gold Art was. Beautiful display of artifacts in gold from the Incas. We learnt a lot.

Nice collection of jewellery here. Interesting way to spend an hour or so. Worth going with a tour if you can get one. The guide can explain the significance of different patterns to Bolivia's history. No photos are allowed in the museum.

The museum is very interesting. It takes you through the process of how precious metals are extracted from the earth and turned into beautiful pieces of art. There is a vault you can walk through with displays of the gold jewelry found at Tiwanaku burial...More

had an amazing morning exploring this museum. Was stunned by the incredible detail in the works of art. Put many aspects of Pre-Incan and Incan culture into perspective.
