Difficult to express in few waords what Tiwanaku represents but beside what you believe, it's such an important archeological site for humanity you really dont' wanna miss it.

I always seek genuine in such a places. But here some parts of the site doesn't look so. But here you can find huge statues made by this tribe. And the supreme statue witch is stunning indeed is covered inside museum.

We had a nice tour with an eloquent and friendly guide from a specialist tour at Sagarnaga (close to Coca Museum). Unfortunately I can't remember the name of the organization, something with B, the guide was called Ephraim Lima. He apparently studied archaeology, cared for...More

I'm into ancient history so this is a must see if you are too. They are 3 monoliths that are worth seeing and the sun gate is a bonus. The museums are nice and if better if you take a guided tour

Our guide was dull. I would have preferred a more engaging and lively delivery style. The site itself is disappointing. The main temple site has blue rope around exhibits which makes any photograph look poor. The history is interesting but having spent two weeks exploring...More

A must when you pass by in La Paz. Interesting museum. The beginning of the Inca civilisation. Go there.

Pretty much now because its the dry season. Best to get there as early as possible because it gets very busy. Same with Machu Picchu. Make sure you get a decent guide.
