This is actually a double museum and gallery complex with free entry. The money museum is interesting with the history of money in Colombia with lots of notes and coins to view. There is a story and history of money in the country right up...More

Sounds boring, but it was actually very interesting because so well presented. Part of a complex that also includes the Botera museum and a museum of Colombian art. The latter was fascinating and, again, amazingly well curated.

This museum is dedicated to money, historical coinage and notes, and the old presses on which they were made. All very interesting, especially as the entrance is free. It also allows access to the Botero Museum which is in what seems to be the same...More

The Moneda museum contains a nice collection of historical coins and the machines used to make them, some many hundreds of years old. Be careful as photos are not allowed in the galleries. Beautiful gardens as well.

This is where Botero is located. The building is actually a complex and worth visiting for its preservation and history and art exhibits.

This is an interesting free museum recalling the history of gold melting and coin making. It can be combined with visit to Museo Botero. Beautiful building creates a nice setting for this collection.

It is a small museum, but it really makes up for it with a rather nice collection of historical bits from the early beginnings of Colombian currency.

Very good displays, much inter-active stuff for kids - especially on gold production and minting. Lots of stuff for those interested in coins, notes and the colourful monetary history of Colombia. Also, next to the Botero.
