If you are a poetry lover and knows about Silva, this is a magnificent place to be closer to him and knew how he lived. I loved all the place and history there.

Great place for poetry lovers

Casa de poesía Silva is a literary museum hosted in the home of Colombian modernist poet José Asunción Silva. The museum holds the most comprehensive collection of poetry recordings of Colombian poets reading their own works. Besides exhibiting Silva memorabilia, the house and its patios are a very good example of traditional Colonial La Candelaria buildings, and it is very well taken care of. But the most salient aspect of this cultural site is the very impressive poetry library, where visitors can find first editions, photographs, personal diaries, letters and other very interesting documents, all related to Colombian poetry.
