Many Colombians are proud of this site with many skyscrapers and modern facilities such as first class hotels with conference rooms, restaurants and excellent connections to the international airport. More than the old historic center it shows Colombia is part of the global mainstream. The area roughly starts at the location of the landmark Colpatria tower and Tequendama hotel and ends at the Parque Nacional. Most of its development took place in the 1970s/80s taking over the financial hub function of Avenida Jimenez closer to the old town. Many skyscrapers host financial institutions such as banks.

I was here with my family for a vacation i absolutely loved it. the culture here was amazing, i don't speak Spanish so i i had an interpreter but it was still great.
