Botanic garden visit

Needs some tender loving care. It's free and pleasant area to walk around and visit grave sites of prominent Guyanese leaders since independence.

For a zoological park located in a part of the world with endless wildlife its poorly populated with just a handful of animals from the very country

What a sorry sight!!! Very few animals and even fewer visitors. Not worth the effort to visit. Didn't see many of the animals, mostly empty cages.

This zoo has some animals that I've never seen elsewhere such as the manatee and many kinds of jaguars and leopards. It was very hot so our tour was kept short but enjoyable.

There are two types of zoo in the world; if there needs to be zoos at all. There are those zoos that can afford to keep their animals in good conditions with lots of space, food and activities and there are those that need to give up and close down. Guyana zoo is the later and though I don't doubt... More

This zoo contains many bird species, which made the visit interesting. However, the tigers and leopards are in too small cages, it's sad to see. The monkeys didn't get a lot of space either.

best Guyanese Zoo or Zoological park. Family relaxation and children play parks as well as many flora and fauna to explore and learn about.

It was difficult to walk through this small zoo and see the condition it is in. The cages were filthy, and many were far too small for the animals inside. The whole experience was rather depressing. Trash floating in the manatees' pond.
