Having been to all capitals of South and Central America (except Caracas) I must admit that the generally not unpleasant city of Asuncion is also one of the greenest towns in this part of the world. I especially enjoyed my walk in the Botanical Garden....More

It´s very nice parc, but the zoo is from the 80ies. The standard is pretty low, tigers are fat and unhappy. Turtles, parrots and monkeys are nice too, but still - the cages are small and the area is not so big at all. It...More

If you like to see tucans housed with turtles, this is the zoo for you. Like a lot of things in Paraguay, the zoo is a bit unusual. They do have a nice collection of big cats.... tigers, panthers, and lions. And there are the...More

If you like to visit Zoo you may appreciate some aspects of this zoo, but don't come with San Diego or Berlin in mind! It's a simple zoo, more in the history of zoological facilities of the 1920s: fenced animals. Despite of seeing that they...More

Unless I missed them the botanical gardens only seemed to have trees and shrubs with very few flowers. The zoo was upsetting as the animals did not have much space. It is a difficult decision whether to visit a Zoo or not. My money helps...More

This is a very well cared garden in Asuncion worth paying the entry fee for parking -about a dollar or two- and you can stroll under the shade of nice trees and flowers. I was surprised to find out that many people skip this place...More

It is a good place to discover in Asunción... it is a big park to spend some time or play outdoor sports. In the Zoo you can check usual animals and must look for Elephant, lions, tigers, hippo and more local species...
