This is less a zoo than a playground. There's not too many animals left as they seem to die of old age and they can't get replacements. But the playground is nice enough for children and it's a lively place.

The zoo is almost empty... It's a frequently visited attraction for the hungry in Suriname. Only the panthers and cayman were still there

Its a great place, if ur in paramaribo and you want to spent a day with the kids outside. its has lots of different animals and a play ground.

good place if you would like to see some surinamese animals. do not expect too much. it is a mall zoo with a playground for kids. nothing spectcular

Visited december 2016. It was small and most of the animals were asleep. To be fair it was very overcast an cold. It rained alot that day also. But it was very nice experience.
