Went with a group of about 30 people and got a guided tour of the house. The guide was knowledgeable and filled in all of the background of the large collection of photos and memorabilia. The house overlooks the river. Great setting and information.

Soooo, we got there too early (it's always good to look up the time things open). This is her grandparents home (where Amelia was born). It overlooks the river and the view is spectacular. Even tho we couldn't go inside?... it was worth the look-see.

Such a great tour, you really must see if you're visiting Atchison. Little girls get a huge kick out of the letters on Amelia's bed.
