No nonsense French professionals with good English who know what they are doing. Only my son and my 5th and 6th dives. We had been advised against this in Oz (unknown dive companies) but nothing to worry about. Great dive spots and evryone loved it.

After looking into scuba diving in Noumea, reading reviews and speaking to the locals, Abyss became our first choice. We asked our hotel to organise our dive trip and were pleased that Abyss offered free transfers to and from the marina. Pick up was 7:30am and we were dropped back to the hotel at 1:30pm. On arrival we filled out... More

My husband and I did 1 dive trip (2 boat dives). The equipment was in excellent condition. The responsibility of setting up and pulling apart of the equipment was given to the participants, which I really like as it gave me a good refresher. The guides were very good and conscientious, their English speaking was thankfully better than my French.... More

My wife and I dived with Abyss for one day but wish we had time to do more. The staff are very professional and the rental equipment was in good condition. The diving in the lagoon was great. We want to go back.

I came in June and its a bit quiet for diving so best to plan at least a few days ahead. These guys responded quickly, had great new gear and excellent friendly guides with excellent English. Dives sites world class with nearby marine reserves allowing visits to see huge. Schools of large fish, eels, turtles, octopus and giant lobsters. Merci... More

I was so impressed with these guys! They are professional, attentive, and friendly. I haven't been diving for long yet they were able to cater for the diverse deign abilities in the trip. Highly recommend them to anyone, beginner or professional.

This is a really professional dive company and it was lovely to spend a day with them! The diving was just superb - and we rated it as good as the best in the Pacific - almost as good as in the Solomon Islands. If you want to go diving in New Caledonia, you won't go wrong with a day... More

Our day started off perfectly - not a breath of wind and the sea like a millpond. Lionel picked us up from our hotel and took us up to the marina (we got to see rush hour in Noumea!). We got kitted out in wetsuits, fins, etc (nice gear) and walked over to the boat (very close). There were only... More

Only company that does night dives. I'm not a fan of the zodiac boat to get to the dive sites cause it's windy and chilly on way back to the marina. If you have high blood pressure, diabetes or other common ailments be sure to bring a note from your doctor that it's ok for you to dive or don't... More

I just had two days (4 dives) with Abyss and the experience was terrific. They are very safety conscious during the dive, always checking on divers, assisting them as necessary, and the pre dive brief is well structured. All the divers on my trips were French speaking but they still ran through the whole briefing in English just for me.... More
