Love, love, love this place. Plenty to do. Beautiful weather with consistent temperature that is a comfortable heat. The local people are friendly and many speak good English. The information Centre on the main street was very helpful. The bus service is brilliant. We spent a week here and used the bus most days to go and check out the... More

We prefer isolated beaches with pristine sand and water. It is a nice beach and pretty water but we would not want to spend a day there relaxing. There are a lot of shops and restaurants nearby and we could not get past the impression the water was not clean.

A nice beach to go relax on or have a picnic. There are some shops and restaurants across the street if you need a coffee or something to eat and there is a small platform in the water for the kids to play on.

Long stretched lovely beach. Beautiful view as far eyes can see. Nice for swimming and cool down on hot days. Safe for kids too. Just make sure you put on your aqua shoes as there are lots of stones and corals and sharpe-ish on the sand. I tried to swim once without the aqua shoes, it wasn't really pleasant because... More

Beautiful beach with lots of eateries to choose from. When we went it was a perfect day to swim so it was very busy. Local beer tastes great ;)

Really pretty white sand and blue water beach! If you want the restaurants and cafe expirience then this is the place to be! If you don't, dont go.

This is an overall review of the area of Anse Vata. Yes, the beach is nice although I think Baie des Citrons is a better beach for swimming. The shops don't offer much variety, mainly overpriced souvenirs. If staying in the area and wanting a grocery store, they are quite a distance away. The cafes and restaurants are very average... Beautiful beach. Lots of little shops around under the Hilton hotel and plenty of places to eat. Didn't quite understand the shops opening hours.. all of them seemed to closed around the lunch period. And open some days but not others.. you can hire paddle boards and wind surfing gear from trailers along the beach side.
