We bused here from Anse Vata Beach which took 10 minutes nad we were into the waters of a beautiful tree lined beach. Shopping centre across the road with many stores and food outlets to choose from.

Noumea has suffered the scars of progress, but Citron Bay remains vet pleasant and well worth a visit if you are calling into Port at Noumea.

Baie des Citrons or Lemon Bay - is a lovely beach with white sand and clear water. Great for swimming and safe for kids. Lots of shade under the trees which edge the beach. Also great for beach walking and sunsets in the early evening.

Best beach in Noumea with plenty of places to swim. Lots of shaded areas by trees. We swam here all day. Suitable for all ages. Cafes and shops across the road. Catch the on off bus $12 Aussie dollars per person. Best value !

This is a nice little beach in a sheltered bay, the water was flat calm and the sand is nice, no need for water shoes. Lots of restaurants across the street and trees for shade. There are fresh water showers too. Not much for snorkelling, if you want to see lots of fish and coral head out to Duck Island... More

While not a tropical paradise it is a pretty beach with nice calm water. It is a good location to relax and swim. Close to restaurants and facilities. You may want to consider finding one of the resorts on the Island to use their beach.

Had a great and wonderful journey in Nouméa, sunny day 35 ℃ or more. Lemon beach is a very beautiful place, very isolated and less windy then the other beach called Anse Vata. The area is filled with a variety of restaurants and cafés, souvenirs shops, free-wifi. They do accept Aussie Dollars and you can get a discount on your... More

During a day visit from a P&O cruise ship we did another half day tour before going to Lemon Bay. We used the HOHO bus to get to Lemon Bay Beach front. One thing to keep in mind, we were in Noumea on a Saturday and just after 11:30 am were unable to get tickets from the local operator for... More
