Don't expect too much but it is a good place to get a feel for what you will see in the Rock Islands. You also get to a heads up on what some of the fish that are difficult to see will look like. An example if the Mandarin fish. It is brightly colored but very small so easy to miss.

At that price you should definitely take your kids to see the aquarium. It is not large or spectacular, but good enough to keep the little ones excited for half an hour or so. The tanks outside are the best, with all sorts of local fish, and especially the "touch and feel" one, where you can hold a starfish and the eerie cucumbers...

Given how small Koror is, it is not surprising there is not much there to do. This aquarium is small but the exhibits are nice and it is probably more enjoyed by kids that adults. Admission is reasonable. Check in advance for feeding times for the fish if you want to see some action.

This place is ideal for families or even couples. My boyfriend and I came here and we had the whole place to ourselves. They had indoor and outdoor aquariums and even a interactive pool with starfish and sea cucumbers.
Highly recommend!

Even for those who come to Palau to dive and who know marine life well, a visit to the aquarium is a positive experience. The layout and the combination of indoor and outdoor tanks makes for a great learning experience in a highly aesthetic surroundings. The guides are knowledgable and friendly, and the facility is well worth a visit.

This aquarium presented the various regions of reef life from the mangrove regions immediately adjacent to the land to the the outer reefs. In this manner, educating the critical visitor as to the differences in aquatic life in these areas. Examples of many of the major fish life may be seen, with even a Mandarin Fish exhibit, where you can get a close view of this small exquisite elusive fish.

You can't help but feel sorry for this place. It is relatively new, and yet so forgettable. And yes, it is way over-priced for what you get to see.
The only reason I was really happy to be there was to get spectacular photos of their jellyfish. Check out my photos attached here. Since the jelly fish are in an aquarium with lots of natural light and clear water, the close-up photo quality here are better than the ones at jellyfish lake (especially if you're using a basic, underwater point-and-shoot camera at jellyfish lake). I'm not saying there are a lot of jellyfish here....just four of them during our visit.
All of the attached photos were taken at this aquarium.

Very nice aquarium with great education on coral reef ecosystems. We were the only people there at the time so had the place to ourselves. Includes small gift shop as well.

After almost two weeks of diving and snorkeling, we decided to go to the Palau Aquarium on a bit of a lark. We were very, very impressed with the level of scholarship and information they pack into this small facility. The breadth and variety of the marine life, and the way their exhibits explained and demonstrated the Palaun ecosystems were done better than many aquariums we've visited in the US.
If you're not interested in marine animal varieties, or research into the coral reefs surrounding these magnificent islands, it's probably won't hold too much interest for you. But if tropical marine environments are something you'd like to learn more about, this is an excellent stop. It's not huge, so you'll only need an hour to 90 minutes. Divers, if you want to work more on your fish ID, this is a great place to practice "above water"!
And the $10 admission? It also helps the Palau Coral Reef Research Foundation, located in the same building.
