This lake is now closed to visitors. The jellyfish were dying out due to environmental problems. Hopefully, the lake will reopen to visitors in a year or two.

I have wanted to see Jellyfish Lake for years. Unfortunately the lake has been closed to visitors because several years of dry weather have killed off the jellyfish. Our flights and hotels were booked and non-refundable so we traveled all that way even thought we...More

We really wanted to do this excursion and paid for it ahead of time but when we arrived the lake was closed because all the jelly fish were dead so we went to the milky way instead.

I went to visit jelly fish lake 20 years ago and the experience was so surreal and enchanting. Unfortunately due to global warming and pollution, the jelly fish population has dwindled. At one point they even close the lake to visitors. They recently opened it...More

This is obviously a huge attraction because there is a ranger station at the entrance and a fancy walkway to the lake. There is no chance anyone could sneak in. When it rains a lot hopefully it will reopen. No known opening date.

If you are traveling to Palau, this is a MUST SEE attraction. Being able to swim with (mostly) stingless jellyfish is amazing. While fins are allowed, they should not be (can cut up the jellyfish)...so be a good tourist and don't wear fins or apply...More

If you plan to visit Palau to visit the Jellyfish Lake you may need to reconsider. Due to the drought and El Nino the lake is now devoid of Jellyfish. Hopefully they will recover. There is still great snorkelling and diving in Palau.

I gave this a 'terrible' rating because of the fate of the jellyfish and not for the actual tour. We were told that the jellyfish had died and the lake is now officially closed. There are other pockets of jellyfish apparently but those areas are...More
