The Central Market have the best healthy fruits for affordable prices. The area where the fish and seafood are sold are dirty and needed to be cleaned. Proper tables should be made for the seafood such as mud-crabs, shells and squid to be properly placed...More

Its always interesting to have a look around the markets but this market is fairly basic in terms of not only what is there (very largely vegetables and fish) and treat the smells and sounds that go with it as part of the experience. You...More

This place is definitely worth a visit. It's crowded with locals selling & buying their food supplies. It's a grotty, dirty place, especially the open drain down in the fish market area, but disregard all that if you are wanting to pick up some good...More

A must do if your in the Honiara CBD. Excellent range of local fresh produce and fish. Need to be careful with pick pockets as you would in any marketplace.

This is the market the locals go to. But unlike other Pacific Islands the solomons is full of thugs and crooks. The market is also filthy, absolutely filthy, nowhere that you would go as a tourist destination.

Honiara Central Market is a great place to observe a snapshot of Solomon Islands commerce in one hit. Most of SI farming is subsistence, and the surplus ends up here at the Honiara Central Market. It's not a place to stop and watch, you need...More
