Visiting the turtles
Mar. 2020
We came here to see the turtles. We were lucky to be the only group there at the time so we had a lady show us around and tell us about all the enclosures. We sat in the pools with the baby turtles which was cool and we saw a few bigger turtles. We also got to hold Iguanas and see some bats. It's not a flash place but it was interesting and not very expensive. 1700 Vatu for adults and 1000 vatu for children.

After hours
Jan. 2020 • Family
My family and I had planned on visiting the zoo and the kids were so excited so see the turtles. Unfortunately, we had problems with our flight (cancelled, then delayed) and didn’t end up landing until closing time. I messaged the zoo and explained our disappointment. The owner and a staff member stayed back and allowed us to experience the centre after hours. Whilst they would have been hoping to get home to their own families, we did not feel rushed and were given the opportunity to experience all that this great place had to offer. Their commitment to turtle conservation is evident and we were thrilled to see it happening. Thank you!

Clean and well cared for
Mar. 2020 • Couples
Was a very clean well laid out place. Come for the turtles to see baby ones right up to adult set at a lovely spot. If you go there yourself it’s a dirt track to get there but trust your map. We missed the snorkeling with turtles due to tide but if you do bring your own they don’t have any.
Was worth it

The Best location for any Turtle fans out there!
Feb. 2020
This is one of the better Turtle sanctuaries on the Island. Plenty of opportunity to interact with the "residents", and a vast range of ages from the very tiny (6 week old) Turtles up to the big mature Adults. The best part is the ability to have a paddle with some six month old Turtles - who were very keen to "investigate" these new objects (especially toe nails!). Their organisation is second to none, and it is very obvious that the inmates are VERY well looked-after. Other attractions include Rainbow Lorikeets, Mud Crabs, Iguanas and Daisy the Goat!

VERY well worth a visit!

Great work
Feb. 2020
The owners here are doing wonderful work in helping turtles. It is great to see the turtles at different stages and being genuinely cared for. The owner and staff were very friendly, a cafe for refreshments and there is a lovely swim area to cool off in. Well worth the visit and you will be helping the their cause.

The best place to get up close to turtles
Feb. 2020 • Friends
I couldn’t recommend this sanctuary enough. I have previously been to some of the turtle places in Vanuatu and was not a great experience but this place was so beautiful and was recommended to me by family.
The owners are really lovely people who genuinely care about animals and you can see the turtles thriving in their settings waiting for release back into the wild. Highly recommended

Great chance to interact with these beautiful creatures
Feb. 2020
Visited this site on a resort tour. They do a wonderful job of helping protect, nurture and rescue sea turtles. From newly hatched to nearly matured you get to observe them up close. You even get the chance to stand around in some shallow water among the young ones and have them clambering over and around your feet. Had a great time, learnt a lot and supported a very worthwhile venture. Would recommend it to anyone

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our trip to The Reef Centre. The work that you guys do to protect the turtles and teach others is amazing and you should be very proud of everything that you do. Would highly recommend that everyone stop by here on their trip to Vila

Close encounter with Turtles
Jan. 2020 • Family
Here you can see Turtles if all ages from a few weeks old to the very old. The team here recover turtle eggs, hatch them and nurture them to they are old enough and strong enough to survive in the wild, increasing the rate and chances of survival. They also care for injured animals that wouldn’t survive in the wild. The staff are very knowledgeable and will take you round and tell you all about the turtles and other animals they are looking after in great condition. Other animals include coconut crabs and iguanas.
The kids and I visited and stayed for a couple of hours. The highlight was being able to swim with two older injured turtles in an ocean pool - so go prepared to get wet.
To get there you can go by bus, tour or as we did by taxi. They will wait for you.
