Hideaway bay was lovely, I wish in all the review I read before going though that someone would have told me to take reef shoes, the whole island is covered in coral you can't walk on barefoot. Such a tease really because all you want to do is go in the water.

We arrived after midnight to a note advising we had no running water, and 4 large bottles to tide us over. Water was restored briefly the following morning for showers, and then promptly turned off, with a note under our door advising of essential maintenance. No further update was given, and periodically we asked desk staff when the water would... More

The island is a short boat trip from the mainland. Regular transfers operate throughout the day. It is a good place to relax and go for a swim. However, the big negative here is that you can’t walk barefoot on the beach because it is made up of shells and coral. I say big negative because how do you get... More

We spent a few hours here as the place was recommended for snorkelling off the beach. As a visitor you have access to a very small part of the island with a gift shop and bar/lunch area. There were some loud rude people playing music which was distracting

We did a day trip from our resort and spent about 5 hours enjoying the beach area and the snorkelling - a great place to swim with the various fish at the coral reef

We purchased the day tour that picked us up from the hotel, included lunch, glass bottom boat & snorkelling tour. The island is fantastic for snorkelling & the gear was included in the price of tour. We could have spent much longer there than the tour permitted. An abundance of fish, coral & the underwater postbox was fun for something... More

We had a great time on Hideaway Island, we booked the day trip which included a transfer-Ian the driver was just lovely-shy to start but on the return trip he gave us a lot of information on the local area of Port Villa even did a pop quiz on the way back-much fun. Hideaway island is a beautiful piece of... More

We paid 4500vt per person for transport to the island, a basic lunch, glass bottom boat tour and snorkel trip. The boat tour wasn't a tour at all just a quick trip out into the bay while they fed the fish. No information about the fish we were seeing, the culture or history of the place. This was a. It...
