We walked into town and strolled around and found this little gem of a place, while most of the shops are owned by the Chinese this is run by the locals.. selling arts crafts, tshirts and dresses.. about average prices but at least you know that the money is actually going to locals.. well worth the walk

A walk around the markets let you buy fresh fruits and veggies and also some souvenirs. interesting walking around this is open all hours and the ladies are really friendly. The locals buy their fruit here. We bought some paintings on canvases so we could frame when we returned home.

A genuine local market where you can buy home grown produce, fruit and flowers! A must do on your trip to Vanuatu - that is while you still can!

Visited for a quick look around on a port stop on a P&O cruise. The produce section was interesting to look at, with mountains of produce stacked everywhere for sale. There didn't seem to be many buyers, though. The adjacent section houses souvenir stalls which were reasonable priced and staffed by delightful locals who were very polite and respectful of... More

The Port Vila Market is a must-see while you're in town. A wide range of fresh fruit and vegetables is on offer, very reasonably priced and sold by friendly locals. Be sure to stock up on your old favourites and discover new ones! As others have said, the sellers are never pushy.

The market, just like the place itself is filled with locals that are always smiling & never pushy. The prices are more than reasonable for some of the most beautiful trinkets & wears. Can't wait to go back.

This is the place to go for fruit and vegetables as you are very limited with fresh produce at the supermarket. It is very cheap here and there is so much choice. We found it was better to come in the late afternoon or evening when it was cooler as this is the time more stalls are open. As well... More

Love this place! A market selling just locally produced food! By local ladies, it a buzz of locals, expats and travelers looking for fruit etc. there is no cold storage so accept that nothing is perfect but it is as it is and you won't find a juicer mango or sweeter pineapple! The section selling fresh flowers is a dream... More
