Nice place to chill

It's beautiful and nice place to chill alone or with your friends in the evening but the park is closed after 6 PM, sometimes 6:30 PM.

We walked and enter into Maha Bandoola Garden from the Sule Pagoda, which is just across the busy road. This is a good park to step in for a while, surrounded by nice colonial buildings. The park has a monument built for the independence of Burma. It is a green, clean and calm park, located in the heart of the... More

Beautiful park surrounded by nice colonial buildings. You will most likely be accosted by multiple people trying to sell you souvenirs or tours. After fending off multiple people I was approached by a very nice elderly man. He wanted to practice English with me, which is very common in Myanmar. Turns out he's an English teacher and he asked me... More

This is a nice park to step in for few minutes; the park is very close to the Sule Pagoda. Indeed our bus was parked in front of this park for our Pagoda visit. The park has a memorial built for the independence of Burma. Nothing much to miss, if you were short of time.

Stunningly green and peaceful park in the middle of a noisy city. Watch out for the little boys posing as fake trainee Budhist monks, begging for money. The one thing that annoyed us in this beautiful park.

Well, Yangon is a big SE Asian metropolis - a hot, crowdy and chaotic. Sometimes its hard to find a nice and calm place to rest. And Maha Bandoola is one of such places! Clean, calm, yet in the middle of the city centre. Go there, read a book or watch the last rays of sunshine ilumminating the Sule Paya.... More
