Good to go with a guide to appreciate the history of the pagoda. We went in the afternoon and it wasn't too busy.

This has to be the ultimate most important place that you must visit whilst at Yangon. Simply stunning & the sheer size of the stupa & Pagoda compound is epic! The many architecture achievements, sculptures, carvings, and various styles of temples encompasses this attractions.

Agree that this is the number one attraction in Yangon. We were not planning on a guide, but learned so much about history and culture from our guide that we met there, we are glad we hired him.
