Burma is famous for its Rubies, Jade and Sapphire. This museum gives a fair idea of its gems. It also has several shops selling all kinds of gems.

This gems museum consist of 3 floors of gem shops and a top floor where the museum is. You pay 5 usd entrance. But the one floor is well worth seeing, some stones are outright spectacular and show Myanmars richness.

Good place to find good quality gem stones at reasonable price. Best check out the various stalls on the ground floor for good bargains. Remember to ask for free gifts when you make a purchase.
