The 36 bus route from the centre of town passes numerous pagodas on its way out towards the airport. A fare of 200 kyat will take you from the centre to the edge of town near the airport. The Swe Taw Myat Pagoda is one of three very close to each other. The others are the Naga Cave and the Mae La Mur. Fascinating buildings.

This is a very beautiful place. I can never get bored seeing similar concept of worship in these pagodas.
All the Pagodas cover the stories and preaching of Budhha. It is said that Swe Taw Myat pagoda was constructed to enshrine a sacred Buddha tooth relic. There is an ivory copy of the Buddha relic from China, which is kept in a small cylinder shaped glass case. The relic is encircled by small green jade Buddha images and this is visible for public.
I was really amazed by the view of the relic and how it is guarded by sculptures surrounding it. This is definitely a must visit place.

We took the yangon circular train and get down at Mingalardon station which we thought should be the nearest railway station to go to Tooth relic pagoda. It is about 15mins away from the station however it is not a popular spot to get a Grab taxi which we had spent more than half an hour to wait for the taxi to locate us. the pagoda is huge with well preserved structure. Inside of the pagoda is cooling although it is very hot outside of the pagoda (which is a big contast) and peaceful, you'll see burmese offering flowers and water and praying. It is located quite far-north from yangon city centre, however if you were to took the circular train going around yangon, this pagoda shouldn't be missed.

Visiting on a sunny day and the temple looks very nice. The marble steps are very hot, must be careful when you step on the marble. Never walk on the black marble and it burns. It is quite big inside with different days of the buddha for you to worship.

Thai people want to go these pagoda. They interest a lot. It is located traffic area now. The pagoda was constructed to enshrine a sacred Buddha tooth relic, believed to be one of the teeth of the Gautama Buddha who died some 2,500 years ago.
The tooth was brought over from China in 1994 and enshrined in the pagoda for 45 days for Burmese Buddhists to pay homage.

This place, I wouldnt recommend anyone to go. There is an entrance fee of $3000 Kyat and I dont get to see the tooth relic.
Firstly the tooth relic is at the centre of the Pagoda but you are not able to get near. Probably about 5m away and No one can see it unless you use a zoom lens. The TV is supposed to show the tooth but it is not working.

It's a rather nice temple. It's where they put the Buddha tooth. Don't go there expecting to see the tooth because you won't be able to. You can't go close to the tooth. Can only see it from a distance.

This place houses the tooth from the Buddha. It is said that the relic is on loan from China as part of diplomatic ties with Myanmar. Many locals call this place World Peace Pagoda Kabar Aye.
The interior of the Pagoda is so elaborate and ornate, it is a must see. The way to the pagoda is filled with souvenirs shop that are not available in the flea market downtown, so if you see something unique, BUY IT!
No shoes or footwear inside the vicinity. MODEST attire needed and no Socks.

As far as pagodas in Yangon, this is interesting. Inside has attractive ceilings and the focal point is not a contemporary Buddha. Odd lighting makes it difficult to take pictures inside, but I'm glad we went.
2,000 Kyat fee per person for foreigners.
Not as grand as Shwedagon Pagoda but better than most others in Yangon.
