The start of our guided tour was at the statue of King Vakhtang and the historic Metekhi Church located on the cliff overlooking Mtkvari river. As we walk around, I can't help but be fascinated by the lovely and colorful balconies along the narrow streets of Tbilisi. We made a stop at Abanotubani district, site of the sulfur baths. Like... I first came to Georgia in the 90s and the Old Town was genuinely charming, but with armed conflicts, developers left...until a decade and a half later...Then they piled one establishment next to another, until today no one who lives in Georgia goes there esp Chardin Street in summer, absolutely packed and frenetic. I live here and have seen that... More

Hey Guys! What do you think Tbilisi needs in the segment of bars and restaurants ? Which place would you like to have in Tbilisi, to chill in the evening or to have fun in a daytime, but couldn't find in an old town. Any suggestions ?

Very nice People, secure city and a very good experience, but the air pollution is very high which overwhelm the experience in bad ways. The most original buildings are in very bad shape, the buildings from the soviet time are monumental but the very new buildings are very nice and expactable.
