I could have spent days walking round the back streets. So many often dilapidated but nevertheless beautiful buildings from the era of Russian rule and all sorts of interesting shops and dmall museums to stumble across

The old town is such a mix of old ruined tatters over proud Georgian buildings. We loved the cobbled streets, the climb up to our TIFLIS HILLS hotel, the restaurants and gift shops but most of all the art shops and the people. A must!

I have just found out what time period you want to research. Very old records are in the State Archive. I'm just trying to find out how long back the documents go in either place and will get back to you
