It's a bit pricey, but the views are a bit more extensive than the views from the base of the tower, at the Observation deck in Namsan Park. In particular, you can look in all directions, if it's not too crowded when you are there (which it wasn't, when i was there). It's a good way of getting a visual orientation to Seoul, and it gives you some idea visually of just how big a city Seoul is.

The glare from the windows means that pictures don't turn out as well as the outdoor pictures.

I probably won't go back again if I visit Seoul again, but for a first-time visit to Seoul it was worthwhile.

A symbolic place associated with Seoul, it is located on top of Namsan mountain. The coolest thing about this place is that you can get there in many different ways. You can get to the top by cable car or bus, or you can enjoy walking there, cause there are several trail paths to N Tower.
If you’re fit enough I would recommend the last option cause it allows you to see amazing views of the city and enjoy the nature.
N Tower also offers the visitors a couple of restaurants and gift shops together with a wall guardians performance

It's like going to the top of a tower and finishing it.
You pay first to take the ropeway to the foot of the tower, and then pay an additional fee to get to the top.
I probably wouldn't climb again, so I went up. 笑
But the night view is worth a visit.
But in summer you'll be bitten by mosquitoes while waiting in long lines to get off. Fans are also essential. 笑

We took the public bus up at the normal bus fare - 1,200 W vs 14,400 W per person for Cable car. Granted cable car allows a better view but once at the base of the tower you get the same view. Plus, there's a fee to ride the elevator to the top of the tower in addition to the cable car fee. I enjoyed the elevator video and sky bathroom experience but photos from the top were glare prone and dirty windows did not help make for good photos. If your on a budget, I would skip going to the top, and do the hike down. There's loads of viewing areas to take photos and pack a meal to stay and enjoy the sunset and moon rising.

It features in most kdramas I've watched and felt it was a must see on our trip to Seoul.
I recommend you get the busbup to the base of the tower.

We waited for the free lift up to the ticket office, saving us walking up the steep stairs. We waited nearly an hour in the sun to get the lift.

We bought tickets for the cable car yp to the tower within a few mins. Then proceeded to wait in the huge queue for over an hour.
It's deceptive, we went in no problem on the ground floor thinking it was quick but the queue started on the stairwell, up the stairs, in and around waiting rooms.

The cable car - we were wedged in.
For 1.5- 2mins or so.
It was not really worth the wait.

We had bought a return cable car ticket, but rather than wait to get the cable car back down - We got the bus down. Much quicker.

The views from outside the tower are great. Lovely cityscapes. Nice photo opportunities of the tower and also the numerous padlocks.

There are gift shops. So you can buy a padlock, write a message and attach it!

There are ticket offices at the top of namsan outside the base of tower to buy tickets up to the observeratory.
However there was an employee showing us how to scan a qr code next to the office to buy tickets online to get a discount which was helpful.

Personally I thought the views were better outside and that we didn't need to have gone up to the observeratory.

It was s a great afternoon out.

N Seoul Tower is a fantastic destination offering a panoramic view of Seoul, especially at sunset when the skyline becomes truly mesmerizing. One of its most popular attractions is the "love locks" area, where couples attach padlocks with their names as a symbol of eternal love. These locks are placed along the fences and designated
"love trees," creating a vibrant display of affection. To avoid environmental harm, there are bins for disposing of the lock keys, symbolizing the commitment to never separate.

I visited Seoul Tower on my last days in the city. We took and uber (regular taxi), and it leave us at the bottom of the mountain to take the cable car to the top of the mountain, this can also be done by foot, and if you are for the exercise I am sure you will enjoy it. The time of the year we travel to Korea it was very hot and humid, there is no wind blowing on the top so you can feel the heat. The views are to die for you can see how massive the city is from the different look out spots on the top, you will also enjoy the lock corridor where you can leave your own and a message for those people that will come every day after you leave. We also went up on the tower and we had a great time taking pictures, and the windows you can see how far in Kilometers your country might be or even your city, must of the capitals are on the window. This place you can enjoy for 2-3 hours there is also restaurants in the bottom of the tower for your enjoyment. If you visit and take the time to come this place will not disappoint.
I bet the sundown it's great. I took a picture of my flag and the capital of my country Bogota Colombia.

Totally fan..
Access is a little laborious... you have to start by taking an elevator where you queue then the cable car where you queue (30 minutes at the end of the day) then access Mount Namsan to then be able to take the tower elevator and get to the top. If you buy your access ticket on a get your guide or clook type site you will still have to go through the ticket office to exchange your voucher so frankly I didn't see the point of doing it even if there is no There wasn't much of a wait when I showed up, however I had to wait for my turn, perhaps in other circumstances there is a queue dedicated to those who have a voucher, I don't know. This tower that we see everywhere in Seoul and of course in all Korean Dramas is really the symbol of Seoul, I did it at night to enjoy the view and an illuminated Seoul. So at the end of the day you should know that the windows are stained with fingerprints and that taking photos in these conditions is complicated, that being said the view is absolutely superb

The view from the tower is great and the tickets to go to the observation deck were reasonably priced. You would have to walk up quite a hill to get to the tower, so I HIGHLY suggest getting the gondola two-way ticket as well. We went on a Sunday morning and it wasn’t crowded at all.

If you want to have a place to relax with a breathtaking view of Seoul, you can’t do much better than the N Seoul Tower. It is one of the most iconic symbols of the city and the country, and you’ll find a good number of dining options both on the ground level of Namsan & and at the tower. We came both at night & during the day, and enjoyed spending a few hours of our time there basking in the scenery.
