Well, I chanced upon this place as it was too cold walking in the streets. It's pretty nice here. Lots of souvenirs shops and some clothing and some shops selling K-pop stars' cards, stickers etc.

We walked here a few of times during our stay and the last one looking for gifts before leaving Seoul. This shopping center is one of those underground between metro stations and they are also used as a way to cross underground major streets in Seoul. It's crowded by day, but somewhat eerie by night with all the shops closed.

Very intriguing little place for almost everything available in the Namdemun market but in a more organised and peaceful setup.

This underground has one food concession. There are outdoor sports shops, yarn, vinyl records, camera shops, luggage, skin care, money exchange, clothes, and jewelry shops.

Small shops selling old Music Disks from 60's , cloths, cosmetics, and books. It is not a priority as attraction in Seoul.

This was truly amazing to see a kind of mall for shopping in a subway. It was clean & tidy as well. Being from the states (USA) it was a marvelous sight to see. Can't wait to come back for another visit.

We went through here when we wanted to go to namdaemun market. We're quite surprised because we found a lot of good souvenirs in a cheaper price. If you want to buy souvenirs and you don't have time to look around, you can come to this underground shopping area

My co-worker and I visited this market, after eventually asking for help in the Shinsegae department store with the handy feature in the trip advisor app. So that works. I found several old record stores, clothing store, jewelry, antiques, coins, currency exchange places, plants, food, yarn, art... It's a very diverse market. I frequented it in the evening, so I... Staying in Myeongdong / Namdaemun

Neighbourhood Profile
Myeongdong / Namdaemun
Arguably Seoul’s most famous neighbourhood and undoubtedly one of its most popular, Myeongdong takes shopping and eating to new heights, with hundreds of shops, restaurants, and cafes all stacked on top of one another. The rise in popularity of Korean cosmetics, fashion, and more has made this area a must-see for visitors who come and marvel at Myeongdong’s often frenetic pace and energy. Lotte and Shinsaegae’s massive department stores are also popular draws for both Korean and luxury products. The department stores, just like Myeongdong’s streets, are crowded around the clock. Myeongdong’s many street food carts are also immensely popular for their inexpensive and quirky offerings (French-fry-encrusted corn dogs, anyone?). The neighbourhood’s popularity, as well as its close proximity to other popular sights and neighbourhoods, makes it one of Seoul’s most popular places to stay.
