It had its moments but they were few and far between, each of the acts was stretched too long making them boring although all of them ended on high note. Normally they give about 20 minutes for each act to play out with the last 5 minutes being the highlight, this means sitting through 15 minutes of mediocre play first.... More

This performance was so mesmerizing that we went to see it twice: once at the beginning of our 2 1/2 weeks in Egypt and once at the end. It is that good. To grab the best seats, go an hour early.

Seems no tourists know about this traditional show in Cairo we were the only foreigners there. This dervish show is very professional, both musicians, singer and dancers are at the top. Twice a week, no reservation, go one hour before they start to get the best seat.

Located just across the road from the Khan Al-Khalili and having shows 3 times a week, the Al-Tannoura Classical Sufi Dance performance is a classical theatre and performance which every visitor to Cairo should watch. From the venue, which is a medieval Egyptian / Islamic building to the sheer dedication of the performers, this 90 minute show is only available... More

This is a must-see if you want to experience a unique (and disappearing?) part of Islamic culture. This is not only about the dancing (whirling dervishes) but also about the drumming, music and singing that induces the trance-like state of the performers. The whole event has a positive and authentic vibe - not concocted solely for tourists, as was evident... More

I watched Al-Tannoura Egyptian Heritage Dance Troupe in my first day in Cairo. It was a good opportunity to be in touch with a folclorical Egyptian dance. The show was different of everything I've ever seen, especially because there were only men dancing. They seem to really have fun during the whole show. I recommend this attraction for people who... A must see if you're in Cairo. No wonder it's very popular, the performers are very talented. We enjoyed the shows and performance. The show starts at 7:30 PM, and if you want to find a good seat, it's better to reach there earlier. The tickets are inexpensive.

You may not go only once, but twice and thrice.Colorful, amazing music, nice place that takes you into the very depths of history. After you visit the famous market of Khan El Khalili, you just cross the street into Wekalat Al Ghoury to watch this unforgettable show

Eltanoura show at Wekalet elghoury definitely worths going; every Saturday, Monday and Wednesday evening (i went in Ramadan when it starts at 9:30 but i think it starts earlier in ordinary days) Tickets r 5 EGP for Egyptians and 30 EGP for non- egyptians so it's cheaper than any other concert
