It is indeed an engineering marvel which is commonly known as the red pyramid due to the colour of the rocks. Going inside it helps in understanding the construction which is over four thousand years old and is truly a life time experience.

This is built by sneferu as the first successful smooth sided pyramid ever to be built from 2600 BC, search in the trio advisor for the red pyramid reviews as it is the same name and the most famous name of this pyramid.

You can't come to Egypt wanting to see monuments then miss the Giza plateau & pyramids. The scale is impressive and how they could've built it too. I went before trip advisor started

You should visit this at least once in your life. It´s not cheap and the way down the pyramid is quite small and full of people.

a short drive from cairo..this pyramid is appears to be in ruins..but still ha its charm..the climb is a bit and the interior is a bit erie.good for the adventurous.oldies can avoid this.
